Welcome to the 2024 Cranfield Colts FC Festival of Fun
|
Hello! A huge welcome to you and your families attending our Annual Festival of Football. Cranfield Colts prides itself on being a family friendly club, ‘football for all’ being our ethos. Over the past few years, the Festival of Football gives us the chance to reflect on our seasons hard work, coaches dedication and players enjoyment. We have a number of teams playing today from U8 through to U16, playing on grass and 3G pitches.
A huge thank you to Cranfield United and Bedfordshire FA for the use of their facilities. We couldn’t run this weekend without your support. All donations and sponsorship go directly to keeping our player fees low, making grassroots football affordable for everyone.
All U8 players will receive a celebratory medal, along with one team having the opportunity to win our ‘fair play’ trophy. Each team will be scored on their values, teamwork, coach, player and parental behaviour, so let’s keep it fun for everyone. U9 through to U16 will play for runners up and winner trophies - set to be tense semifinals and finals!
We are joined today by our wonderful Marsh and Hyde families. They will decide who will be awarded the Charlie Marsh Trophy. This trophy is awarded to an U10 player who displays amongst other values; great team play, determination and pure enjoyment of football. Last year’s recipient was Toby Ashpole.
Your children’s welfare is our number one priority, so if you see or hear anything that may affect them negatively, please find a festival organiser (orange hi vis) for support. We will not tolerate any form of verbal or physical abuse, discrimination or unsporting behaviour. This is a children’s football event, run for them by volunteers.
Enjoy your day with us, see you again next year! 🧡🖤🧡🖤
